SERIES: IN DEFENCE OF THE SUNNI CREED AND MANHAJ - No.3

ʿAudhu Billāhi min ash-Shayṭān al-Rajīm, Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm. Alḥamdullilāhi Rabbil ʿAlamīn, waṣalatu wassalām ʿala rasūlillahil karīm, wa ʿala alihī wa aṣḥābī wa man tabiāhum bi-eḥsan ilaʾ yaum al-dīn; wa baʿḍ. All Praise belongs and is directed to the Rabb of everthing that exists, praise and salutations be upon His final beloved Messenger, Muḥammad , his revered family and his noble companions and upon those who follow them in good until the end of times, to proceed,

In this day and age people have caused a lot of confusion and trouble in understanding the Dīn of Allāh. Some of the deviant and misguided sects, groups and parties have deviated from the fundamental methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah and have thus fabricated corrupt rules and principles, which has led them to deviate from the straight path and the Manhaj of the Salaf and Ahl al-Ḥadīth.

In this book, Shaykh Fayṣal al-Jāsem clarifies The Distinctive Characteristics of Ahl al-Sunnah & Ahl al-Ḥadīth in their approach in understanding the Dīn and its principles whilst also explaining the methodology of Ahl al-Bidʿah i.e. the people of innovation.

This book is excellent and precise in explaining these principles in summarised format for everyone to follow and understand. This book is a transcription of a lecture delivered by Shaykh Fayṣal in London in 2018, which was translated by Abdul Wahid Stephenson and transcribed by Mustafa Hussain, who also added some notes marked as (trs.).

We modified parts of translation and also added some explanatory notes marked as (ed.). We pray that In-Shaʾ-Allāh, people benefit and change their ways and follow the correct ʿAqīdah and Manhaj, thereby seeking the pleasure and forgiveness of Allāh, The Exalted.
